Add-On: Related Posts
Automatically add a "Related Posts" based slider to your individual posts pages.
From the Slider Revolution plugin's Add-On page (available from v5.2), click "Install this Add-on"
From the Slider Revolution plugin's Add-On page (available from V5.2), click "Activate Plugin"
When creating your post-based slider, choose "Specific Posts" for the "Content Source". And then leave the "Specific Posts List" field empty/blank.
After creating your post-based slider, refresh the Add-Ons page, and then click the "Configure" button again to complete the setup.
1. Post Type
If you happen to have more than one “Post Type” available for your site, you can choose which slider you’d like to use for that particular Post Type.
Or, just choose “No Related Post Slider” for the “Slider” choice (#2 above) if you do not wish to display a slider for that particular post-type. “No Related Post Slider” is the default choice, until you set it up otherwise.
2. Slider Choice
The “Specific Posts” slider you previously created.
3. Number of Posts
Choose how many posts should be pulled into the slider. For example, if you wanted to show 4 related posts, the slider would then consist of 4 total slides.
4. Show posts based on related Categories, Tags or Format
Choose how many posts should be pulled into the slider. For example, if you wanted to show your 4 related posts, the slider would then consist of 4 total slides.
5. Choose a secondary source
If there aren’t enough posts to fill the target “Number of Posts” (#3 above), choose what to populate the remaining items with.
Choose how many seconds the WordPress query should cache for (this will help to speed up your website a bit).
7. Slider Position
Choose to place the slider above or below the post’s regular content.
