Include in your Theme
You can use our Plugin in your ThemeForest item if you purchase one extended license for that purpose.
Meaning 1 Extended License for every single ThemeForest item you upload (1 ThemeForest Theme/Template Upload = 1 Extended License, 2 ThemeForest Themes/Templates Upload = 2 Extended Licenses etc.).
Maybe if your customers love the item so much by purchasing your theme more then 500 times, you could share some love with us too if you like 😉 with maybe an extended License per 500 sales? Just a suggestion, no obligation 🙂 Please also consider that we handle some good amount of support cases for you too.
We suggest you keep it as a plugin and make it auto install using this library https://github.com/thomasgriffin/TGM-Plugin-Activation . This is the only way if you want to include the plugin in a ThemeForest theme.
After installing the tgm files into your theme. Put the revslider.zip inside the plugins folder that is defined in the tgm class and adapt our example code here to your plugin array (should be no problem since you are a theme dev 😉 ):
'name' => 'Slider Revolution', // The plugin name
'slug' => 'revslider', // The plugin slug (typically the folder name)
'source' => PATH_TO_THE_THEME_FOLDER . '/plugins/revslider.zip', // The plugin source
'required' => false, // If false, the plugin is only 'recommended' instead of required
'version' => '4.6.9', // E.g. 1.0.0. If set, the active plugin must be this version or higher, otherwise a notice is presented
'force_activation' => false, // If true, plugin is activated upon theme activation and cannot be deactivated until theme switch
'force_deactivation' => true, // If true, plugin is deactivated upon theme switch, useful for theme-specific plugins
'external_url' => '', // If set, overrides default API URL and points to an external URL
